Payment Policy

  • To confirm your reservation, a 50% payment is required at the time of booking.

  • The remaining balance is due 60 days prior to arrival. Reservations made within 60 days of arrival require payment in full at the time of booking.

  • A $500 refundable security deposit authorization will be placed on the credit card two days prior to arrival. This is a temporary authorization, not a charge, and will be released within 5-7 days after departure, provided there is no damage, excessive cleaning, missing items, or violation of the Rental Agreement or House Rules.

  • We accept all major credit cards through our secure online payment system. Payments are processed using industry-standard encryption to protect your information.

  • Once your reservation and payment have been received, you will receive a confirmation email with your booking details and arrival information.

  • Reservations are not considered confirmed until the required payment has been successfully processed. 

  • If the final payment is not received by the due date, the reservation may be cancelled in accordance with our Cancellation Policy.

  • If you have any questions before booking, we are always happy to assist.

Cancellation Policy

  • Because Wine Mountain Retreat is a private vacation home and availability is limited, cancellations affect our ability to offer those dates to other guests. We encourage all guests to purchase travel insurance to protect against unexpected changes to their plans.

  • Cancellations made 60 or more days before arrival will receive a full refund, less any non-refundable payment processing fees.

  • Cancellations made 30-59 days before arrival will receive a 50% refund of the total reservation amount.

  • Cancellations made 29 days or less before arrival are non-refundable.

  • If we are able to rebook all or part of your cancelled reservation, we may, at our sole discretion, issue a partial or full refund for the nights that are successfully booked, less any applicable fees. 

  • No refunds are provided for:

  • Late arrivals

  • Early departures

  • Inclement weather

  • Road closures or travel delays

  • Flight cancellations

  • Illness, family emergencies, or other unforeseen circumstances.

  • For these reasons, we strongly recommend purchasing comprehensive travel insurance.

  • If Wine Mountain Retreat is unable to honor your reservation due to circumstances beyond our control that make the property unavailable, you will receive a full refund of all amounts paid. Our liability is limited to the amount paid for your reservation.

Wine Mountain Retreat House Rules

Welcome to Wine Mountain Retreat. Our goal is to provide every guest with a peaceful, beautifully maintained retreat while preserving the property for those who visit after you.

By booking your stay, you agree to the following House Rules. A Rental Agreement must also be acknowledged at time of booking.

  • Registered Guests:

    • Only the number of guests included in your reservation may stay overnight. Visitors are welcome only with prior approval from the owners.​

  • Quiet Enjoyment:

    • Wine Mountain Retreat is designed for relaxation. Quiet hours are from 10:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m. Please be respectful of neighboring properties and the peaceful character of the area.

  • No Parties or Events:

    • Parties, large gatherings, weddings, receptions, or events are not permitted without prior written approval.

    • Professional photography sessions, commercial filming, and wedding preparations involving vendors or additional visitors require prior written approval, but are permitted with the four day wedding weekend package.

  • Smoking:

    • Smoking or vaping of any kind is not permitted inside the home, screened lanai, garage, or within 25 feet of any building. Evidence of smoking may result in additional cleaning charges.

  • Pets:

    • Up to two well-behaved dogs are welcome with prior approval. Dogs must not be left attended unless securely crated, must remain off furniture unless protected by your own coverings, and owners are responsible for cleaning up after their pets. 

    • Pet fee of $25 per dog per day will be charged. Cats are not permitted.

  • Outdoor Fires:

    • Fires are permitted only in the designated fire pit. Please never leave a fire unattended and ensure it is completely extinguished before retiring for the evening.

  • Outdoor Soaking Tub:

    • Please follow the posted instructions before using the outdoor soaking tub. Children must always be supervised. Use the tub at your own risk.

  • Respect for the Property:

    • Please treat the home, furnishings, artwork, and surrounding landscape with care. No glitter or confetti. Report any accidental damage promptly so we can address it before the next guest arrives.

  • Wildlife & Nature:

    • The Finger Lakes is home to deer, birds, insects, and other wildlife. Please avoid feeding the wildlife and keep food securely stored.

  • Check-In & Check-Out:

    • Check-In: 4:00 p.m.

    • Check-Out: 10:00 a.m.

      • Early check-in or late check-out may be available by prior arrangement but cannot be guaranteed. Except for those booking a four day wedding weekend package.​

  • Before You Leave:

    • Lock all doors and windows.

    • Turn off lights and small appliances.

    • ​Place used towels in the bathrooms.

    • Load and start the dishwasher.

    • Dispose of trash in the designated receptacles.

    • Return furniture and household items to their original locations.

  • Damage & Security Deposit:

    • Guests are responsible for any damage beyond normal wear and tear. A $500 refundable security deposit authorization may be used to cover damage, missing items, excessive cleaning, or violations of these House Rules or the Rental Agreement.
